Overview

One of the most interesting and exciting trip in Annapurna region, Dona Lake and Manaslu Base Camp Trek is an ideal trip for the trekkers who want to have exotic experience of typical Gurung culture, their lifestyle and the wonderful views of the majestic Himalaya, glacial lake, river valleys and introduce the high country rare flora and fauna. Introduced in 2009, this is the fantastic adventurous trek in Annapurna region.

Package Itineary

(Average hike 6-7 hours a day)

 

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu (1310m), hotel

Arrive Kathmandu, transfer to hotel, depending on time, visit medieval era interesting artistic city Kathmandu Durbar Square where you see beautiful temples, palaces, bells, statues, living Goddess Kumari and typical lifestyle of locals. Dinner and overnight.

 

Day 02: Drive to Bhulbhule (800m), landscape and lifestyle, teahouse

After breakfast, drive to Bhulbhule through beautiful river valleys, farmlands, villages and towns. We see magical view of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu and Annapurna range, wonderful landscape and typical lifestyle of locals. Have lunch on the way. Arrive Bhulbhule, check in guesthouse, explore Tamang tribal village and culture. Dinner and overnight.

 

Day 03: Drive to Khoto (1880m) hike to Nache (2225m), waterfalls, landscape & lifestyle, camp

Have breakfast, drive to Khotro along Marsyangdi River valley. We see interesting landscape, very beautiful waterfalls, and traditional villages and lifestyle of Gurung tribes. Explore Gurung tribal villages, culture and culture program on the way. Get off the jeeps in Khotro, have lunch then hike up to Nache-a typical beautiful Gurung village in Marsyangdi River valley. Welcome performance by Gurung tribal people, observe their cultural program- singing and dancing in the evening. Dinner and overnight in the camp

 

Day 04: Trek to Crome (3100m), camp

After breakfast, hike to Crome through forests, river valley and rocky incline. We see beautiful view of Namung Bhanjyang, Lamjung Himal and Annapurna II as well as the Marsyangdi and Dona Khola valley. Have pack lunch on the way. arrive the camp, explore and enjoy the pristine nature. Dinner and overnight.

 

Day 05: Trek to Prodaque then to Hungringche (3500m) hike along Dona Khola valley

After having breakfast and taking pack lunch with us, hike through the forests and rocky inclines, arrive Hungringche camp. We see beautiful nature scenery, may see Himalayan monal, griffin vulture, fox and blue sheep along the way. Dinner and overnight.

 

Day 06: Trek to Yamjonge (3800m), camp

Have breakfast and take pack lunch, hike to Yamjonge. After arriving the camp, depending on time and interest, we may hike to 108 Dhara – the sacred 108 waterspouts. Dinner and overnight.

 

Day 07-08: Trek to Dona Lake (4045m), camp

Hike up to the ultimate destination of the trek Dona Lake and the base camp of Ngadi Chuli, Thulagi Chuli and the western base camp of Manaslu. Explore the majestic views of the Manaslu Himalaya, glacial valley, tranquil glacial lake Dona Tal, and high country flora and fauna.

 

Day 09: Hike back to Prodaque (3500m), camp

After having breakfast and taking pack lunch with us, hike down to Prodaque on the same way. Dinner and overnight.

 

Day 10: Hike to Dharapani (1860m), camp

After breakfast, hike down to Nache on the same way then descend to Marsyangdi River valley. Arrive Dharapani, explore traditional Odar village, classic Gurung tribal culture and their typical lifestyle in the evening. Today our jeeps arrive here. Dinner and overnight.

 

Day 11: Drive to Besishahar (760m), teahouse

After breakfast, we drive down along the Marsyangdi River valley to Besishahar. This is the scenic drive through beautiful waterfalls, hanging cliffs, traditional villages, forests, beautiful river confluences and farmlands. Have lunch on the way. Explore the town and interesting mix society culture mainly dominated by Gurung and Tamang tribal groups. Dinner and overnight.

 

Day 12: Drive back to Kathmandu, hotel
After breakfast, drive down to Mugling along Marsyangdi River valley then follow the Trishuli River valley towards Kathmandu. This is also very scenic drive through beautiful farmlands, settlements, river valleys, and hills and hillocks. We see typical lifestyle of people and magical Annapurna, Manaslu and Ganesh Himal range from the way. Have lunch on the way. Arrive Kathmandu, check in hotel. Dinner and overnight.

 

Day 13: Sightseeing and shopping in Kathmandu
Have breakfast, visit UNESCO heritage sites; Pashupatinath and bouddhanath and Swoyambhunath, have farewell lunch with host family, return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

 

Day 14: Fly back home

After breakfast, program over, transfer to airport, fly back home.

Detailed Trip Cost

Entire trip cost per person (USD):  $2,499 

1pax complimentary in every 11pax paid guests group

 

Trip cost includes:
All accommodation (twin sharing basis) & food; three meals a day -breakfast, lunch and dinner (except bar bill), insured crew (guide, porters, donkeys, dzopa, yaks and necessary kitchen crew for camping trek), all essential permits, all domestic transportation as per the itinerary, service charge and government taxes.

Trip cost does not include:
Personal expenses (like laundry, communication, alcohol, cold drinks and bottled water during trekking), gratuity to serving crew, emergency evacuation, international airfare, visa, your travel insurance and any kind of gifts and donation.

Payment system

  • 80% of total trip budget must be paid in advance (the amount should be appeared to our account just two weeks before the trips) for domestic transportation, permits, hotel bookings reconfirmation and essential preparations.
  • Balance can be paid before or during/after the trip.

Refund system
In case of trip cancellation in the last 10 days of group arrival, 50% of the deposited amount will be deducted. If the trip cancels 10 days before the group arrival, we settle the full amount in next trip.
