Listed in World Heritage site, this region is already renowned all over the world because of the world's top Mt. Everest. Many trekkers and mountaineers visit this region every year and keep the new record in mountaineering history. The Everest region is very recently recorded (7th position) one of the top ten tourist destinations in the world which is only one in Southern Asia. There are many places and things to see. Glacial valley attracts the tourists from different parts of the world because of its unique specialty. Tibetan cultured and styled beautiful villages like Namche, Khumjung, Tyangboche, Dingboche, Pheriche, Machhermo and Phortse are located in the warm lap of the ice-cold Himalayas. Glacial lakes like Imja Tsho, Chola Tsho, Chokarma Tsho, Gokyo lake and Ngozamba Tsho etc have added the more beauty in nature. This is rich place for high country flora and fauna where can see the disappearing rare musk deer very closely, occasionally the snow leopard etc and rare Himalayan birds like lophophorous; the national bird of Nepal, kites, griffins vulture, spiny babbler etc in alpine forest. Life style of the mountain people, Tibetan culture and tradition, beautiful landscape, glacial valleys, high country floras and faunas and unique formation of the surrounding Himalayas like Mt. Everest, Lhoste, Nuptse, Cho Oyu, Gokyo Ri, Ama Dablam, Kangtega and Thamserku etc are the attraction of the region.

There are some other opportunities to climb the trekking peaks like Island peak (6189m), Mehra peak (5820m), Pokalde peak (5806m), Lobuche East (6119m), Kwangde peak (6187m), Pracharmo peak (6273m), Ramdang peak (5930m), Kusum Kanguru(6369m) and Mera north peak(6476m).

Trek can be arranged from Jiri and Tso Rolpa Lake through the Rolwaling Himalayan belt but these are comparatively the longer trips.
